Get your first monitor working

  1. Create an HTTP monitor. Open New Monitor, choose HTTP(S), and enter a friendly name and a public URL you control. Start with a 5-minute interval, 15-second timeout, and one region. Click Create Monitor, then open it from Monitors and confirm a check result appears. Full setup guide →
  2. Add down and recovery alerts. Connect Telegram for a path available on all plans, or choose another integration. On the monitor, click Add Alert and save a Monitor Down rule, then a separate Monitor Up rule. Check that both are active in Alerts. Add an alert →
  3. Verify delivery. Send a test from the integration's settings and confirm it reaches the intended recipient. This checks the connection, not the monitor's event rules. For a full down-and-recovery test, use a dedicated test monitor and endpoint—not a production outage. Test checklist →

First-run checklist

You have a monitor with recorded results, two active alert rules (Down and Up), and a received test notification. Detection depends on the check interval and retry setting; delivery is not guaranteed to be instantaneous. See the monitor lifecycle and plans and limits.
